Landscape, Macro, and Nature Photography Classes

Class Details

Come and learn to take amazing outdoor photos including landscape and extreme close-up (macro) pictures! Capture the beauty all around you like a pro!

This class is perfect for anyone interested in learning to shoot better outdoor photos. Landscape and Macro (closeup or intimate if you don't have a macro lens) photography are very common types of imagery, and many photographers find these genres of photography to be two of the most enjoyable to pursue. This class will teach you how to take the extra time to visualize what you want to capture, compose your photo, and set your camera settings to take a jaw-dropping landscape or closeup photographs. In addition, this class teaches students how to take an amazing photograph outdoors with the sun as the only source of light.

You will learn:

  1. What to look for when composing an image and setting a goal or expectation for the final image.
  2. How to accomplish your expected results by manipulating your camera functions. I will provide you with recommendations and a handout for you to refer to after the class.
  3. What goes into macro photography and how to get the best results with the equipment you have (no macro lenses required, but having one is ideal).
  4. Create an amazing landscape photograph that does not need to be edited in Photoshop.
  5. This class is great for anyone wanting to enjoy a day at the park while learning more about their camera, natural light, and photography in general. This class is kept small so there can be more one-on-one instruction, providing you a great experience and lots of hands-on activities. You will walk away from this class with photos you will keep and remember.

Such fun

As a somewhat new student of photography, I was a little worried that I would feel inept. Not at all. Jason conducts classes that are so much fun, casual and yet I always learn something interesting. Highly recommend for anyone from newby to expert
