Presidio Park

Presidio Park is a historic city park in San Diego, California. It is the site of the San Diego Presidio and the San Diego Mission; the first European settlements in the western United States. They were founded in 1769.  You can read more about this history on Wikipedia here.

We chose to use Presidio Park as one of our outdoor locations back in 2009 when we were looking for a quite area that allowed for plenty of parking and little distractions. Upon finding this place we have decided to keep our classes here because it offers a dynamic backdrop for headshots and portraits in addition to landscapes and macro shots. It has been a class favorite and many of our students have gone on to use it for a location to take clients for shoots.

How to Find the Class

Presidio has lots of hidden locations and we currently teach the class in a grass area covered by trees on the north side of the parking lot next to the famous Presidio fort. Here is a map of where to meet us.
