Online Lecture & Local Class Details

Knowing how to take a photograph is only half the battle. Come join us and learn how to edit your photos to make them stand out like the pros do! Make sure to bring your laptop with Lightroom already installed so you can follow along and ask questions.
Ansel Adams did a great deal of his magic in the darkroom and that applies to us digital photographers today, but in the form of Lightroom- our digital darkroom. I have always been one to preach about getting the photo right in the camera, but that doesn’t mean I don’t make changes to them on the computer to really make the images POP!
This class is for those of you who wish to get the most out of their images, including organizing, backing up, basic editing and file formatting for print and web use.

Why You Want to Take This Class

• Learn the basics of Lightroom workflow including importing your files, making backups, naming them properly and organizing things in a scalable, “future-proof” way.
• Learn the buttons and sliders under the “develop” tab, how to use them, and why to use them.
• Edit images and learn how to export them properly.
• You will have an expert photography instructor there with you to help you import, edit and export  photos to look the way you want them to (we will supply a USB stick with sample images).
• Learn how pros add watermarks and copyright information so you can seamlessly protect your photos.
• Learn the tricks that save a ton of time in the editing process to go from spending 8 hours to 30 minutes in Lightroom.
• You will get to edit photos live in the class. There will be tons of hands-on learning in this class.

Details of the Class

In order to get the most out of this class we strongly encourage you to bring your laptop or desktop to the class. We will have plenty of outlets for you to plug into, WiFi, and tables for you to get setup on. It would also be helpful if you have Lightroom already setup on your computer (Versions 4, 5, and CC all work for this class).

• We will be meeting at Rob Andrew Photography specified below.
• The local class is about three hours and may go over a little depending on how many questions there are.

What to Bring to The Class:

• Your computer with Adobe Lightroom already installed.
• All the necessary cables and accessories to run your computer or laptop in the class.
• A free USB port.

Wade Steelman is a professional photographer specializing in architecture and interiors photography. He has also worked extensively on commercial photo shoots as a lighting and digital tech. Well versed in Lightroom, Capture One and Photoshop, Wade is known for his keen attention to detail and strong technical background. As a certified Navy Master Training Specialist with 12 years teaching experience, he is eager to share his knowledge with you!
