How do I learn about new contests, updates in photography technology, creative and unique shoots from photographers, DIY photo projects and stay updated on the Local Photo Classes Community?
How do I redeem a voucher from any deal site and/or photography store?
Your voucher should have with it a coupon code that can be used when registering for a class on LocalPhotoClasses.com to redeem your voucher. If your voucher did not have a coupon code with it or you are experiencing issues redeeming your voucher, please
contact us for further assistance.
Please Note: If you have a voucher for more than one person, each person will have to register and use the coupon code individually.
Can I use my voucher for another class and pay the difference?
*George’s Camera: The voucher you receive from George’s camera is solely for Photography 101 and cannot be substituted or used as partial payment for any other classes.
*Deal site Vouchers: The voucher you purchase from the deal site can solely be used for the class it for. Vouchers cannot be substituted or used as partial payment for any other class.
*Gift Certificate: A gift certificate amount can be used for another class that is the same price or can be used as partial payment (the remainder being paid) for a more expensive class. There is no cash value to the gift certificates.
Do I have to take Photography 101 before taking Photography 102?
Photography 101 is not necessary to take before Photography 102. However, we strongly encourage taking both - even if it is for a refresher. People commonly take both classes on the same day and leave feeling confident and comfortable with photography and their cameras.
Please Note: Photography 102 is recommended before taking any of our other classes as it goes over the important settings including aperture, ISO, shutter speed and more!
What do I bring to the classes?
For all beginning and intermediate classes, we ask that you please bring your camera fully charged, the camera manual (if camera is not a Canon or Nikon), memory cards and a pen and paper.
For Night & Low Light Photography and beyond in skill level, please bring what is specified in the class description. If you have the equipment needed for these classes it will be greatly appreciated and may make transition between hands on time quicker, but everyone is not required to have all equipment. This includes, but is not limited to, tri-pods, pocket wizards, and off-camera flashes.
