Photography Challenge Night: Composition

Theme: Composition

Photography can only be learned by doing it. You can watch tutorials and videos online all day every day, but if you are not out in the world with your camera practicing what you want to learn, you will never become a better photographer. That is why we created this free event. Its to get you out and shooting in a team format so you can learn from others by taking photos together based on a common photography challenge. Not only that but you get the opportunity to have your photos critiqued by the group and instructor to see where you can improve and learn from others’ experiences.

Based on the wild success from our Quarterly Photography Learn-a-Thon we have launched Photography Challenge Nights! Every month we will host a challenge night where you will choose a challenge to work on with a team and go out and shoot it and share it and get critiqued. The purpose of these events is to get you out shooting with your peers and learn by doing.

What you will get out of attending

  • A new way at looking at how to compose your images differently
  • The opportunity to work with your peers and learn from one another
  • Learn by doing and actually applying what you learn by going out and shooting your challenge
  • Get feedback from the instructor to learn how to improve your images and think of things from different perspectives.

What you need to know:

  • The event will last at least 2 hours so please be prepared to be there the whole two hours.
  • Bring your camera and laptop/iPad/computer and anything think you might want to use. Keep in mind that you will have to take pictures at some point and present your photos digitally to the group.
  • All of the content produced by you and your group will may be posted on our blog with proper photo credits to each person in the group.
  • Get ready to make some friends, enjoy a night of learning photography and come ready with questions you might want answers too.
  • OH & the whole thing is FREE!

What Was Your Favorite Part Of The Class?: There was nothing I didn't like!

Absolutely loved the class! I learned a lot and at the end of the class I felt confident in taking nighttime photos and being able to produce some amazing photos! Thank you Jason?

What Was Your Favorite Part Of The Class?: Relaxed teaching style of both our instructors

As a somewhat new student of photography, I was a little worried that I would feel inept. Not at all. Jason conducts classes that are so much fun, casual and yet I always learn something interesting. Highly recommend for anyone from newby to expert
