Community for Improving & Educating Photographers
Are you interested in challenging your photography skills to include marine wildlife in action? Come join a guest instructor, and marine mammal expert, for instruction followed by a 3 hour whale watch trip to photograph marine mammals on the Pacific Ocean. With 15+ years of experience photographing dolphins and whales, and extensive time as a dolphin researcher, Chris has unique insights into how to photograph these elusive animals.
Chris will present his knowledge through a 45 minute class that explains techniques through an examination of pictures, which is followed by hands-on advice in the field. Chris will cover topics including: photographer positioning, positioning on the boat, shutter speeds, camera settings and exposure to increase your percentage of “keeper images.” Chris will then be by your side on the boat providing individualized instruction and immediate feedback to help you fill your memory card with shots of dolphins, seabirds, and with a little luck, a whale. After the trip, bring your best photos to the localphotoclasses.com FREE critique night on July 30 to show off what you captured. Chris will be there to provide feedback and editing advice.
