Videography 101: Intro to DSLR Video

Whether you want to shoot a short film, record a training seminar, or simply document your vacations or child’s first steps, this class is made for you!

Videography 101 is an introductory class that teaches new techniques to help you start using the video mode of your DSLR. The video capabilities of your DSLR are now better than most video cameras that are meant solely for that purpose. Once you are introduced and comfortable with it, you will have a fully loaded weapon around your neck, catching every photo and funny memory with camera and video! No more shaky videos!

This is a 3-hour introduction into videography. The purpose of this meetup is to learn useful techniques to improve your image taking abilities, and get a first-hand insight into the world of DSLR video. Class time will be spent covering the various aspect of videography with great tips and techniques to help make your videos shine!

After this class:

-You will know how to compose your images and manipulate depth of field, movements or focal length.

-You’ll understand the video settings of your camera.

-You’ll know all the tips and tricks to create amazing videos!

Please Note:

*All our welcome to come: Point-and-shoots , compact cameras and DSLRs, as long as they have a video mode.
*Please bring your cameras (fully charged), camera manual, memory cards, and a pen and paper.

Jason Kirby is a veteran photographer of 10 years and loves teaching people how to capture purpose in their photographs. He specializes in corporate event and headshot photography in San Diego. He owns The Right Light Photography" and has been one of leading photography providers in San Diego.
