Seaport Village, located on Harbor Drive, is a waterfront dining and shopping complex adjacent to the San Diego Bay in downtown San Diego, California. The complex is located at the intersection of Harbor Drive and Kettner. Seaport Village is home to over 70 stores, galleries, and restaurants on 90,000 sqft of waterfront property. The area contains a variety of freestanding buildings in several architectural styles ranging from Victorian to Mexican. The Village was designed to be a no-car environment, made up of four miles of twisting paths, as opposed to streets connecting the different buildings. Seaport Village is located within walking distance of the San Diego Convention Center and the cruise ship terminal. The center features a working carousel that is 100 years old comprised of hard-carved animals and built in 1895. This carousel replaced the slightly smaller original carousel that was sold by the trust that owned it in 2004.
